Waterstones Camden Town are pleased to announce the first in an exciting new series of events: “The Sessions”.

Each month we will be inviting 2 authors to talk music, books, and the vital role both have in today’s and yesterday’s cultures – with each “Session” focused on a central discussion topic, such as Authenticity, Gender, and Collaboration.

Kicking off with “The Collaboration Session”, we welcome…

Nick Soulsby, author of We Sing A New Language: a fascinating insight into Sonic Youth co-founder and forefather of alternative rock Thurston Moore’s lifelong dedication to musical performance and exploration; and Daniel Rachel, whose most recent book, Walls Come Tumbling Down, charts the pivotal period between 1976 and 1992 that saw politics and pop music come together for the first time in Britishhistory.

Come and join us for an evening that promises to be as enlightening as it is entertaining. Tickets are £5/£3 for Waterstones Loyalty Card members and include a glass of wine/beer or soft beverages and are redeemable against books purchased on the day. Tickets are available in store or please contact us at camden@waterstones.com or on 02072844948 to reserve your place. See you then!
