The Artist Talk will be hosted at Proud Galleries within Jill’s exhibition, ‘No Music No Life’ and refreshments will be served to all the ticket holders. Attendees will be able to purchase fine art prints, gifts and books that can be signed during the event.
Jill Furmanovsky & Daniel Rachel’s artist talk intertwines Jill’s iconic rock photos with Daniel’s insights into Britain’s popular music culture. Daniel Rachel is a Birmingham-born, best selling, award winning author. Jill and Daniel collaborated on The Sunday Times best seller ‘Oasis at Knebworth’ and Jill has contributed to his latest book ‘Too Much Too Young’ the story of 2 Tone Records.
Jill Furmanovsky is a renowned British rock photographer, specialising in capturing candid moments of iconic musicians. Jill has documented the music scene since the 1970s, notably contributing to the visual history of rock and roll. Her portfolio includes legendary images of acclaimed artists like Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Oasis and Bob Marley to name a few, showcasing her talent and unique perspective within the world of music photography.
Daniel Rachel is a British author and songwriter, best known for his contributions to music journalism and his critically acclaimed books on music and culture. His notable works include Oasis: Knebworth: Two Nights That Will Live Forever and Isle of Noises: Conversations with Great British Songwriters, an insightful collection of interviews with influential songwriters that offers a deep dive into the creative process behind some of the UK’s most iconic songs.
